Johnny Bravo is the muscular main protagonist of the series, voiced by Jeff Bennet. His middle name was rumored to be Bacon. His shallow and dim-witted traits that lead to a severely incorrigible inability to attract women, becoming a running gag throughout the series.

Punch Time Explosion[]

Johnny Bravo appears as a playable character in Punch Time Explosion. He first appeared as an assist character in the first version of the game but was later added as a playable character in the XL version of the game, as the only character representing his show.

Special Moves[]

  • Neutral Special: Comb Toss
  • Side Special: Motorcycle
  • Up Special: Johnny Jump
  • Down Special: Chop Barrage
  • Punch Time Explosion: Johnny Bravo does a sexy pose in front of a big group of ladies who then are attracted to him. Johnny then does a barrage of pose attacks from all sides of the screen on the opponent.
  • Synergy Attack: Dracula from "The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy". Johnny *Bravo & Dracula invite some girls to have a Sexy Party which makes all the girls dance around on the stage along with Dracula.

Alternate Costume[]

Name: Caveman Johnny

First Appearance: "Clan Of The Cave Boob" October 15, 1999

Bio: On an archeological dig, Carl tells Johnny of what he was like as a caveman, who struggled to find a home for himself. Johnny is taken as the caveman and wears a black caveman costume, though still wearing his sunglasses and having the same hairstyle.

Cartoon Network Crossover Chaos![]

Johnny Bravo appears as a playable character in Cartoon Network Crossover Chaos!. He has no changes in his appearance.

Bio[]

Johnny's fighting style says everything about the guy: he thinks he's the best—bringing the total of those who think so up to one.

Special Powers[]

  • Superhuman Physical Characteristics
  • Martial Arts (Expert in Martial Arts and Wrestling)
  • Acrobatics
  • Weapon and Vehicular Mastery (An expert soldier and Major of the Air Force. Able to drive a jet plane)
  • Stealth Mastery (Infiltrated a S.I.N. laboratory)
  • Chi Manipulation and Projection
  • Extrasensory Perception (Able to sense chi)
  • minor Body Control (Can increase the muscles in his arms via Sonic Hurricane)
  • Rage Power (His strength and speed are amplified by rage)
  • Damage Boost (Can perform enhanced versions of his Special Attacks)
  • Status Effect Inducement (By hitting the opponent repeteadly, without them being able to recover, he can cause them to enter the "Stun" status, which leaves them unable to react. His Focus Attack causes the opponent to enter a "crumpling" status)
  • limited Resistance to Precognition (Reading the future of fighters such as him is difficult, because they always fight against it)
  • Full-on military experience

Hyper Combos[]

  • Sonic Hurricane: Johnny unleashes a massive Sonic Boom which whirls in place directly in front of him, dealing significant damage to any foe caught in it. The regular Sonic Boom is a rapidly spinning crescent-shaped wave of golden-colored ki-force (frequently aqua-colored ki-force) with a quick arm motion (that may or may not be an actual shockwave that is created by a force faster than the speed of sound, which is what an actual sonic boom is).
  • Extreme Crossfire Blitz: The move's input is executed similar to Sonic Break, except with the kick button. The move itself is a string of various attacks executed at high speed. The attacks and amount of hits depends on the level. The moves in the Hyper Combo are a jab, a cross, an uppercut, a Reverse Spin Kick, then a Spin Back Knuckle.
  • Ball Buster: Johnny taunts his opponent. If they attack him, he parries them and performs a triple Split Punch in the opponent's groin area. As they double up, he jumps and then slams his elbow on their back, dealing damage to their spine. There was a glitch that allowed him to do this over and over again without any energy in the Super Meter by staying crouched while holding down the block button, but the glitch has since been patched.
  • Double Flash: Johnny performs a Flash Kick and continues with another Flash Kick that hits heavier. The attack is almost instantaneous, and the arc of the kick leaves a flash in its wake.

The size of the flash and the height achieved as performed are usually determined by the strength of the kick used, as well as the damage, stun, recovery:

Version Effect
Arcade-Button-LKick
Has the least damage, height, stun, and recovery.
Arcade-Button-MKick
Grants the most damage and stun with the greatest height, but the longest recovery.
Arcade-Button-HKick
A balance of the two.
Arcade Button 2xKick
Hits twice, does even more damage and stun than heavy punch, and has longer invincibility.

Gameplay[]

Johnny Bravo's overall style revolves around patiently anticipating the opponent's next move and attacking. He has a strong mix of solid offense and defense, combined with reliable agility and air grabs. However, Johnny can easily be baited into using his moves at the wrong time and be subject to sweeping and airborne attacks.
